Peter Durkson was educated at Swarthmore College and Harvard University.
He lived and worked in Geneva, Switzerland for eight years when he worked for an international mutual funds company and an oil finance company.
Between 1975 and 1985 he managed a small private oil exploration company in southwestern Wyoming.
He worked briefly for Merrill Lynch as a Financial Consultant before assisting his wife to grow DraperDale Riding School and The Therapeutic Riding Foundation near Salt Lake City, Utah.
He has experience with caregiving, accessible home design, aging in place issues, and retirement planning.
Peter was the Chairman of the Maui County Council on Aging and he founded the Maui Chapter of the Harvard Club of Hawaii. He is a SCORE small business counselor.
He currently serves as a consultant to the Maui Food Bank.
He is the Co-Founder of Hula Dog LLC.
